Interstate Drive and Neil Street Extensions
In 2004 Interstate Drive were extended from west of the Stamey Land to Neil Street on the east.
As a result, the North Prospect area benefited from an additional east/west artery to bring traffic
in and out of this prime regional retail location. The new Prospect Avenue and Interstate Drive
intersection is a fully signalized intersection and Interstate is a five-lane street in this
section. The balance of Interstate Drive is three lanes, which includes a turn lane. Neil Street has also been extended north to connect to Interstate Drive.
